OVERVIEW
The 2023 Rolex Fastnet will be the 50th Anniversary of this iconic race. It will be celebrated in Cherbourg and is likely to attract a record number of competitors. The City is already making plans for another warm welcome to participants and extra special jubilee celebrations French Style.
The race starts on Saturday 22 July from the Royal Yacht Squadron line, prior to the annual Cowes week festivities.
THE BOAT
We've chosen a First 47.7 race yacht, EH01, which we've chartered from Global Yachting. She can accommodate a crew of 11, hopefully the majority of which will be from HOEOCA
She managed a very respectable 8th in class (out of 56 finishers) and a class of 86 during the 2021 Fastnet.
COST
£4,795 for an all-inclusive campaign, consisting of
2 training weekends
3 qualifying races
